resort, Amanpulo (peaceful island) is set on a coralline island all its
own. Pamalican floats in the brilliant-blue waters of the Sulu Sea. Seven
square kilometers of reef rim the island. Beyond are sandbanks and a channel,
where whales, dolphins and sea cows have been known to stray. At its widest
point, the 5.5-kilometer island of Pamalican is only 500 meters across.
Located among the Quiniluban group of the Cuyo Islands, Pamalican is one
of nearly 1,800 islands in the province of Palawan. The largest province
in the Philippines, Palawan is about 600 kilometers south and southwest
of Manila.
Accommodation
The La Residencia de Prado at Marina de Bay offers simple but first rate accommodations to guests who simply want to enjoy the natural wonders of Puerto Princesa in comfort. It has twelve air-conditioned villas, each with a veranda facing the sea and private toilet and bath with hot & cold water. Uniquely designed and built with clay bricks, the villas are surrounded by natural mangroves and landscape gardens.
Guests can dine at the open-air main dining hall, where they can enjoy the fresh sea breeze and spectacular view of the bay and the Palawan mountain ranges. At night, the ambiance becomes even more breath-taking with the dainty lights screaming in across the bay.
Guests can also choose to dine at the "T-House", a dining area on stilts, reach through a 100-meter wooden wharf.
Also docked at the Marina de Bay are private yachts and boats that are available for bay cruises, fishing expeditions, and special tours.
